NEW GMC CADILLAC STORE TO BREAK GROUND IN BILLINGS MONTANA

April 24, 2013: BILLINGS, MT – General Motors Corporation announced today the ground breaking of their newest facility – a new Rimrock GMC Cadillac store – that will be built next to Volkswagen Billings on the corner of Shiloh and King Avenue West at 840 South Shiloh Road in Billings West End.A special ground breaking ceremony will take place at the new site promptly at 11:00 am on Wednesday April 24th, 2013, hosted by owners John & Ann Soares, Steve & Susan Zabawa and Rimrock GMC Cadillac General Manager, Tony Woolery.
A distinguished list of state and community leaders have accepted invitations to the event including: City of Billings Mayor Tom Hanel; John Ostlund, Yellowstone County Commissioner; Steve Arveschoug, Executive Director of the Big Sky Economic Development Council; Greg Kohn, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Billings Chamber of Commerce; Wayne Nelson and Scott Sanders from Stockman Bank construction financing team; Bruce Davis and Ghram Debes, from the Bank of Montreal (BMO) inventory financing team; Bill DuBeau and Jim Baker from A&E Architects, as well as Jerry Jones from Jones Construction, the building’s general contractor.General Motors Corporation will be represented by Denver Region Sales and Service Manager for Buick-GMC Division, Rory Gambrell.
“Montana IS truck country and General Motors has been pleased with our representation of the GMC and Cadillac lines,” stated Mr. Zabawa, “They are not only supporting us financially in this expansion but have also pledged additional inventory in recognition of Billings as a major regional automotive shopping hub.”With the continued expansion of Billings’ west side, the new Rimrock GMC Cadillac dealership will be in the heart of that growth directly across from Shiloh Crossing and the new Scheel’s destination store – as well as being located on the west end entry point to King Avenue’s regionally renown “Auto Row”.
The ground breaking will be the centerpiece of an “earth-shaking” 4 day 775 vehicle sales event to showcase the retail future of over 1000 feet of Shiloh and King Avenue front footage.
GMC was the first franchise the Rimrock Auto Group acquired 20 years ago. They have been in the same building for 2 decades at 2540 Phyllis separated from their service department half a block away. “We told our architects that the sales and service environments for modern dealerships now need to be integrated. Customers like to be more involved in the service process as well as being in touch with evolving automotive technology.” added Mr. Soares, “Our new facility will showcase the future of automobile retailing. GMC’s professional grade brand identity and Cadillac’s luxury identity will also be a centerpiece of this new sales and service center.”
Rimrock GMC Cadillac will continue to service and sell new and used vehicles out of their existing facility just off 24th St across from Rimrock Mall until the new dealership is opened approximately December 2013.
